Public Notification on E-Commerce Businesses

E-commerce is gaining popularity because it provides unique advantages to businesses over regular ones. Their biggest advantages are low costs and the flexibility it offers. However, they do pose unique risks to the consumers. It’s all on-line, which means consumers can’t touch or feel or try on products before buying; which means consumers may end up with the wrong type, quality or size of products and in worst case, such businesses may be dubious.

To regulate such e-commerce and to protect consumers, the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) registers e-commerce businesses. The Office of Consumer Protection (OCP) is pleased to share the list of registered e-commerce businesses.

All consumers are advised to avoid unknown on-line businesses and deal only with registered businesses to be protected from deception.
