Press Release on Annual Bilateral Trade & Transit Meeting between Bhutan and India

 

 The Annual Bilateral Trade and Transit Meeting between Bhutan and India is scheduled to be held in Thimphu on 25 May, 2015. The Bhutanese delegation will be led by Mr. Sonam P. Wangdi, Hon'ble Offtg. Secret ray, Ministry of Economic Affairs. The Bhutanese delegation consists of representatives from the Ministries of Finance, Agriculture and Forests, Foreign Affairs, Economic Affairs and Bhutan standards Bureau. The four member delegation from the Government of India will be led by Mr. Rajiv kher, Hon'ble Secretary, Ministry of commerce.

Manggdechhu HEP - Concreting of Dam Foundation begins

 

Concreting of dam foundation begins
Hydropower: Marking another milestone for the now the fastest hydropower construction in the country, Mangdechu project yesterday symbolically began concreting the foundation of the dam, bringing an end to river excavation work.
In concreting the foundation of the dam, which will block the Mangdechu and divert it through the tunnels, chief engineer, Karma Chophel, said about 0.45 million cubic metres or 80,460 truckloads of cement would be poured to build the dam, a piece of good news for market-less Dungsam cement.

Awareness and Consultative Workshops on Intellectual Property and TISCs

 

As part of the sensitization programme on Intellectual Property (IP), the Intellectual Property Division (IPD) conducted a day long workshop on IP for the professors, lecturers and staff at the Jigme Namgyel Polytechnic, Dewathang, Samdrup Jongkhar on April 15, 2015 and at the College of Science and Technology, Rinchending, Chukha on April 17, 2015.
