Press Release on opening of new fuel station at Gasa (Chief Guest: H.E. the Hon’ble Tengye Lyonpo)

 

 The Department of Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs would like to inform the general public that a new fuel & gas station has been established / opened in Gasa on 26th June, 2016. The concerted efforts put in by the concerned agencies like Tashi Commercial (M/s BOD), the principal oil company (Bharat petroleum Corporation Ltd) and the Department has made this opening a success.

The Department of Trade in collaboration with the UNESCAP has successfully organized the “Regional Workshop on Opportunities and Challenges in using evidence based Trade Policy for the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals”, from 15 – 17 June 2016 in Thimphu. The workshop was formally inaugurated by Hon’ble Tengye Lyonpo Lekey Dorji.

The Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) for the Hydromet and Disaster Improvement Regional Project describes the principles and procedures for addressing environmental and social impacts associated with the project inaccordance with the Royal Government of Bhutan’s (RGOB) laws and regulations and World Bank’s safeguards policies.

 Above-normal rainfall is likely during the 2016 southwest monsoon season(June – September) over much of South Asia.
