A 16-member delegation from the Progress Harmony Development (PHD) Chamber of India called on Hon’ble Tengye Lyonpo, Lekey Dorji on September 4, 2017.
Welcoming the delegation, Hon’ble Lyonpo stated that the visit by the high level delegation from the chamber will further strengthen Bhutan-India friendship. He said that Bhutan and India shared a mutual and cordial relationship. Moreover, Bhutan and India has a free trade agreement which provides for a sound environment for any business individual and entity to participate in the trade and commercial activities.
Lyonpo expressed that the delegation should invest in Bhutan and take forward the relation between Bhutan an India to a newer level through trade and commerce.
The delegation, composed of representatives from various business entities under the chamber, was on 6-day tour in the country.
The delegation also met with the Secretary of Ministry of Economic Affairs and discussed many areas of collaborations in trade.
